On May 10th, at the Sheraton Hotel in Pilar, the leading Argentine traditional brand will launch its collection for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2010/2011 season inspired by the wealth of natural beauty of the Province of San Juan.
The grape, a significant daily element of the San Juanino culture is present in this collection with a palette that goes from a bright light green to a dark mauve and bluish hues. White and black complete the range of colors.
Leather, linen and suede are the principal materials used and the outstanding garments include dresses, shorts, vests, “bombachas” (baggy trousers used by gauchos) and fitted shirts, for both men and women. An eye-catching novelty is the incorporation of a line of Cardón sunglasses that will be on the market shortly.
For this production, Cardón traveled to the vineyards of Finca Doña Constanza in Caucete, to Garganta del Río Jáchal, the imposing reservoir Cuesta del Viento, Antigua Bodega, the oldest winery in the provincial capital, the vineyards of Finca San Juan de los Olivos and the mythical Parque Ischigualasto, commonly known as the Valle de la Luna, declared by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site.
