05-08-2009

Cardón has signed an agreement with the National Institute for the Promotion of Tourism (Instituto Nacional de Promoción Turística - INPROTUR) and is thus the first clothing trademark to be a part of the Country Trademark Strategy. On Tuesday 4th August, the Cabinet Minister for Tourism, Carlos Enrique Meyer, and the Executive Director of INPROTUR, Leonardo Boto, met with the Board members of Cardón for lunch at the Nuestra Cocina Restaurant located in Martínez at 2738 Dardo Rocha Street. After signing the agreement, a press conference was held where the company authorities and Tourism officials answered the journalists’ questions.
The object of the agreement is to plan and carry out joint actions in order to strengthen the promotion of Argentina in the world. The Country Trademark Strategy is the leading plan whereby Argentina coordinates its differential factors with a view to achieving a better position in specific world markets, promoting exports, growth of tourism and investments.

Cardón shares the vision and aims of the national initiative that seeks to strengthen Argentina’s image in the world. Thus, this communion of philosophy and targets is at the basis of its incorporation into the Country Trademark Strategy which has set itself up as a tool to compete in international markets.
